FAQ
What is VibeHost?
VibeHost is a hosting platform for AI-built apps. Deploy static sites or Next.js apps from Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or ChatGPT to a private team URL — one command, one MCP call, or one click from the Chrome extension. Free to start.
How do I deploy a vibe coded app?
Three ways: paste a prompt into your coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) and it handles everything. Wire a chat client like ChatGPT or Claude Desktop via MCP and just ask. Or use the Chrome extension to deploy straight from an AI canvas — Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, v0, and AI Studio. All three give you a live URL in seconds.
Does VibeHost work with Claude Code, Cursor, and ChatGPT?
Yes. Paste-the-prompt works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Antigravity, Windsurf, OpenCode, Copilot CLI, and Hermes Agent. MCP connects ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, and any MCP-compatible client — including Claude Code and Cursor. The Chrome extension deploys from Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, v0, and AI Studio canvases.
Do my teammates need an account to view?
No separate account. They sign in with their existing Google account. If they're in your workspace, one click and they're in. Your client, your scraper, and your ex-employee are not.
Is my deployed app public?
Private by default. Every new app is only visible to you and people you explicitly grant access. Set it to "workspace" to let your whole team see, or "public" for a fully open URL.
Can I password-protect a deployed app?
Yes, on the Business plan. Set a shared password on any app — viewers must enter it on top of any other access gate (visibility, grants, share links). Useful for client demos or external reviews where Google sign-in alone isn't enough.
Is VibeHost free?
Yes. The Free plan gives you up to 100 static apps, team management, and up to 3 members — free forever, no credit card. Business is $20/mo flat per workspace with unlimited apps, unlimited members, custom domains, and no per-seat fees.
How is VibeHost different from Vercel or Netlify?
VibeHost is built for sharing, not just shipping. Every deploy is private by default with Google sign-in gating — drop the link in Slack and only your team gets in. Pricing is per workspace ($20/mo flat), not per seat. And it works inside your coding agent: paste a prompt or wire MCP, no git push required.
Can I deploy a Next.js app?
Yes. The CLI auto-detects Next.js builds. Prerender-only builds are served via the static fast-path with no container. Apps with SSR, API routes, or middleware run as containers. Next.js deploys are metered separately from static apps.
Can I use a custom domain?
Yes, on the Business plan. Add it with vibehost domain add, point your DNS, and TLS certificates are issued automatically.
What is the VibeHost MCP server?
A remote MCP server at api.vibehost.com/mcp that lets any MCP-compatible agent — Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, ChatGPT, Claude Desktop — deploy apps, manage releases, control access, and stream logs through 46 tools. Connect once with OAuth, then just ask your agent to ship.
How is VibeHost different from Codex Sites?
VibeHost supports one-click deployment from any AI tool — whether you use Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or Codex, it just works, and it's completely free to start. If you upgrade to a paid plan, VibeHost charges per workspace, not per seat — your bill stays the same no matter how big your team gets.
